SERVICE IN ACTION
Take a look at the many ways Project MARS/AmeriCorps is helping others succeed. AmeriCorps Service Members have an immense impact on WNC children and schools.
We dream of the world as a better place where everyone is concerned with making a change. Step by step, our dreams are becoming a reality.

VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT
Reinforcing our Commitment
Our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Members recruit volunteers directly from the community through engagement events throughout WNC. These volunteers serve directly in our schools and engage with our children in need.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY

Make A Difference Day is one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide. Volunteers from around the nation come together with a common mission: to improve the lives of others.

DAY OF SERVICE AND REMEMBRANCE
Project: Operation Gratitude
Project MARS AmeriCorps members collected more than 2,000 letters.  Operation Gratitude seeks to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of the U.S. Military and First Responder communities and provide volunteer opportunities for Americans to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation.
